Lucinda has been a valuable part of my team for over 6 years. She has created quality signs, brochures, flyers and social media campaigns. If you need training for staff or volunteers on outdoor ethics, she is the one you want. She researches the challenges faced and then develops programs to address those challenges. Her educational programs are always a hit with out visitors and the staff. Her passion for outdoor ethics is contagious!
Working with Lucida at Barr Lake State Park for many years has been an enjoyable experience. Her marketing skills were top notch as illustrated by her redesign of visitor brochures, park signs, and social media presence. In addition, she created video presentations for educational purposes in the visitor center. Lucinda was invaluable in working with volunteers to provide outstanding programs and activities for park guests. I recommend her services for your education, marketing, and training needs.
Lucinda's passion and dedication shine through in everything she does, and her work with Cherry Creek State Park was no exception. As a volunteer, she went above and beyond to support the mission, designing and implementing comprehensive training manuals and programs that became invaluable resources for our team. Her leadership and commitment to the volunteer program made a lasting impact, elevating the experience for everyone involved. Nature's Traveling Interpreter perfectly reflects her enthusiasm and expertise, and I have no doubt she will continue to inspire and educate countless others.
When Lucinda approached me about getting Cherry Creek State Park to the Leave No Trace Gold Standard designation, I had no idea how much work was going to be involved. She came in and jumped right in and created a full strategy and plan for how we would achieve our goal. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU Lucinda! For all of the hard work you've put into getting our outdoor ethics and Leave No Trace program off the ground and running. I'm truly impressed by all that she accomplished in her time here at Cherry Creek. Lucinda has truly left a legacy, and large shoes to fill.
Want a person who can look at a project and complete all parts of it quickly? That's Lucinda.
She demonstrated this by submitting for gold standard designation with Leave No Trace at Cherry Creek State Park in Colorado. She examined the requirements and implemented them (i.e. training staff and volunteers, developing signs and posting them around the state park, coordinating with staff, formed a volunteer committee, and addressed all facets of the project to a review team from corporate Leave no Trace). She included all staff and volunteers to gain the most information about the current practices. She then submitted a lengthy document detailing the history and relationship of Leave No Trace with the park, visitor data and a strategy to reach the gold standard designation in a short period of time.
Projects of this type are usually developed by a committee but she took the lead and completed it herself. Lucinda has a good knowledge of how to instruct children and adults effectively. She created three activities for a event booth kit for the public to play teaching outdoor ethics.
Leave no Trace has 7 principles and she knows them very well. If you mention a behavior she can instantly link it to one of the seven principles. If the action is a problem she can devise a solution.
Amazing.
